Three Shapes of Memory

POV: Finn Halloway

*CW: grief, mourning emotional distress,

Three Shapes of Memory is a meditation on grief, secrecy, and the quiet labor of care. Set in a city that mistakes light for comfort, it follows a keeper who holds space for two siblings mourning the same loss in opposing ways. Ritual becomes both refuge and restraint, shaping how memory is carried when language fails. Objects—bone, silver, flame—stand in for truths too dangerous to speak aloud. In this world, silence is never empty, and endings arrive disguised as thresholds.
